last laugh cafe.

come learn, laugh, and plan with Rev. Krystal Jakosky

let me ask you a question.

What would happen if you died tomorrow?

We all know we have a limited time on this Earth. We live the ups and downs while connecting with a tremendous number of souls and loved ones. We enjoy the opportunities that come and endure the challenges as well.

We all know it will eventually come to an end but how many of us have planned for it? When we pass to the next adventure, who will be navigating everything you leave behind? And what kind of preparations have you made?

The Last Laugh Cafe is a safe and supported space to learn and tackle the myriad of paperwork and wishes to make the transition easier for our loved ones.

Do any of these sound familiar?

  • “That’s not going to happen for a while. I’ve got plenty of time.”
  • “There’s so much to do, I don’t know where to start!”
  • “I don’t want my personal information out there, and I don’t know where to go that doesn’t require it.”
  • “I believe you need a lawyer for that, and I can’t afford it.”
  • “Don’t be morbid.”
  • “If I’m planning for when that may happen, I’m just inviting it to. I’ll do it when I’m older and ready.”
  • “I don’t have anything of value, so why should I do anything? It’s not a big deal.”
  • “I’ve started it, which is better than some. I’ll finish it later.”

The Reality

None of us are guaranteed a tomorrow. We have today—this moment—an opportunity to love, connect, and plan. We can try to hide from it, but the reality is we’ll all pass to the other side eventually.

Let’s take the weight of planning off the “To-Do” list and place it in the “Done!” column. I promise you’ll feel better once you do.

Let me guide you on the steps toward a solid plan to rest in peace.

How we’ll process

  • We begin with a two-hour class on the what’s and why’s of planning.
  • Snacks, coffee, and tea will help fuel us as we tackle the topics.
  • Small groups ensure a more connected and quiet space to ask questions and gain clarity.
  • A confidential chatbot will be available for all attendees to access for personal questions.
  • You’ll leave with tools and resources to help you move forward on your journey.
  • Return to future events as a structured time to “do the work.”
