In last week’s episode of Breathe In, Breathe Out, Krystal spoke to the power of gratitude and why it’s one of the best ways to practice self-care. In this week’s episode, Krystal guides us through a guided meditation focused on helping us acknowledge the things we’re most grateful for.

Think meditation is hard? Do me a favor: take a slow, deep breath in and now breathe out. Congratulations! You just meditated. Hi, I’m Krystal Jakosky and this is Breathe In, Breathe Out: a Weekly Mindfulness and Meditation Podcast for anyone ready to own their own shit…and find a little peace while doing it.
Welcome to Breathe In, Breathe Out. I’m Krystal Jakosky and I’m just as always delighted that you are here. Last week I talked about gratitude and how I think that we need to make sure that we validate our feelings that we are experiencing in the moment. And then we need to find the gratitude that can help uplift us and shift us into a more positive state of being.
So this week let’s just do a little meditation. Let’s find a cozy place and take a little time out to breathe and improve. So as always, please don’t do this while you’re driving. I hope that you’ve found a space where you can be very comfy and relaxed and be uninterrupted while you gift yourself this moment of peace and self-care.
Read MoreHow it supports and cradles you as you exhale and sink a little further, a little deeper. Those full breaths of oxygen coming in, going to every cell, helping you relax and let go. Finding peace and joy as you sink and relax. Your next deep breath in. We’re going to clear that mind’s eye before it opens up to your sacred, safe space.
However, that is. However it appears, looks and presents for you. Breathing Deep. Let everything really come into focus. Notice the colors, textures, the smells. What do you see? What do you feel in this moment within your sacred, safe space?
As it all solidifies around you? We’re slowly going to focus on this feeling within. This emotion that’s within your heart. We’re going to take that heavy weight that’s there and we’re going to bring it out and hold it our hands. Just let it come out. Remove.
Maybe you don’t want it in your hands and it just wants to be in front of you. Let it be. Do you need to give it a name? Is it an emotion or is it just a weight that’s been kind of carried around? We want to acknowledge that it’s there. Acknowledge that it was present and that it is no longer a part of us. It is no longer connected in there, but without.
Let’s surround that with love. White light. Kindness and compassion. It’s ok. And notice as you surround it with that love and compassion, how it lightens in size and weight and color. It shifts, changes. It just needed to be seen.
Notice how it continues to change as it is grateful for being visible and acknowledged. The reassurance that it’s okay to be exactly you in this moment. Going to allow that gratitude to
continue to grow.
What additional gratitude can you add to that? Is there something specific that you’re grateful for? It’s coming to your mind and your heart in this moment. Just allow that to come forward and it grows. Continues lightening this positive feeling. It’s so beautiful.
Take a deep breath. And as you do that we’re going to take that lighter gratitude. Bring it right back into our hearts. Right back into your core. Feel how now it just brightens you, instead of weighs you down. You feel a little more floaty and lifted. Positive. Maybe a little more inspired with the day.
Let this positive white light fill you up all the way head to toe. It just keeps expanding out from your chest. It envelops all of you. You can see your full being glowing. Take this positive energy and goes up through your feet up your knees and legs. Your hips, your belly, your heart just keeps going up and it shoots your head before coming back down and enveloping you like a fountain and then going right back up through your feet.
This positive, healthy energy. Flowing. Glowing. Take that deep breath. Feel the difference in your heart and your chest. The gift. Take another deep breath. Feel in this moment. Let it fuel you.
Then when you’re ready, you’re going to start your attorney back. Take a nice deep breath. Your sacred safe space starts to fade. As you start becoming more present in your own mind and body. You take a deep breath and you start feeling more aware of the surface that you’re laying on, of your surroundings.
Another deep breath, and you’re more present to my voice, bringing you back to the here and the now. Another breath and you wiggle your fingers and your toes. You start moving your limbs, being more connected to yourself. Present and aware. With your next breath, you open your eyes, you roll your neck and you are here. Awake alert, a little more positive feeling, ready to face the day or the new outlook.
I hope you have a fabulous day. I hope you have a fabulous week. And I look forward to you coming back here and joining me next time on Breathe In, Breathe Out.
